In 2013 my husband and I moved to France from Bristol in the UK with our two teenage daughters.  For several years before leaving Bristol I worked as the manager and head teacher for a private nursery and pre-school owned by our family.  I graduated from Cheltenham University with a First Class Honors Degree in Early Childhood Learning and Development and with an Early Years Professional Status.  I then attended Bath Spa University in order to undertake a Masters Degree.  I have trained as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and have worked with a very diverse mix of children from the ages of 18 months to 6 years in this role.  Whilst my studies and experience have included all aspects of children’s learning and the importance of the adults role in this, I have specialised in the language acquisition and positive mental health of young children and the fundamental role this plays in present and future, happiness and success.  In my role as the English Teacher of the TPS and PS class at Kaleidoscope I am excited to be able to create and share a rich and stimulating learning environment with the children.  An environment of opportunity that will enable them to approach their learning with an interested and positive attitude, whilst ensuring they are able to fulfil their individual potential as students and as happy young people, who are the future of our community.
